Hi there.

From the suburbs of Bethesda to the streets and stages of New York City and beyond, connecting and communicating with an audience has always been my passion. Using words and movement, I try to make sense of the world around me.

While studying with Uta Hagen, Anna Sokolow and Mary Anthony, I was a soloist with the Mary Anthony Dance Theatre Company and created my own company, Susan Jacobson & Dancers.

In front of the camera, I was buddies with Jessie and Angie at the Steampit on All My Children, a stand-in for Susan Lucci, got stuck in a closet with Jackie Gleason, Art Carney and Jackie Cooper and rocked a bustle for The Gilded Age.

I did the above, including being a dancing girl, to support my true passion, live theater and dance. Merging my love of movement and memoir, I recently performed my award wining one-woman-show, Collecting Driftwood at the United Solo Festival and The Waltz, a mash-up of Dorothy Parker, memoir, movement and politics.

Favorite roles include Sister Aloysius in Doubt, being a storyteller in the Bridgeport and Westport Schools, Amy In Her Golden Years for CT’s Play with Your Food program, and Mom.

I feel like a kid in a candy store, taking Lee Brock’s Master class at the Barrow Group and hanging out at the Drama Bookstore.

I can’t wait to see what’s next!
